Mission and Purpose

 Statement

The mission of the Pella Church of the Nazarene is based on Acts 2:42-47 and states:

“Our mission is to evangelize, love, and disciple all people and encourage them to become Christ like.”

We invite those who love God or are seeking a new meaning in life to come and worship with us during our Sunday services.  Our purpose during those services is to glorify and praise God for His love and grace, which is extended to all men and women no matter their status or circumstances in life.  You will find a people who love God and are seeking to love each other like Jesus Christ loved mankind when He walked this earth.  The sharing of easily understood Biblical truth is at the focus of every aspect of our worship services.  We further seek to encourage friendships and positive affirming relationships with all who come through our doors.  We truly want to be the family of God.

Sunday school classes for children and adults of all ages provide opportunities to study God’s Word in a way that appropriately addresses the realities of life.  These classes promote Bible study and the development of positive supportive relationships.  The Wednesday night Bible study for adults provides an informal and relaxed deeper study of scripture and its application to life at all levels.

Nursery care is provided for all Sunday services with children’s church activities provided during a portion of the morning worship service.
